Share this post and help spread the love! Ever since I can remember… there has been a saying used in […]
I wanted to encourage you to make eye contact and smile at strangers, even as you walk past people – every little gesture matters.
I find often people don’t want to make eye contact in places like airports, I understand that in busy crowded places we often try to protect ourselves.
We put walls up. We try to shut people out. We are busy on our phones, busy reading newspapers, or books, or put our ear phone in.
But I want to encourage you to:
Keep eye contact that second longer….
Smile when you pass a stranger…
Let people see your light even when you badly want to protect yourself…
Because strangers need you to shine …
One of my favorite quotes about travel is by Terry Pratchett…
“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.”
