Powerful Teachings for Powerful
Today I wanted to share with you insights that explain the 5 anchors within DharmaKaya Yoga which are powerful principles to shift your thinking.
5 Life principles to you keep you centered
It’s only when we are able to specifically observe ourselves judgement free that we are able to bring unconscious thoughts or habits that are no longer serving us into conscious awareness. Insight comes from keen observations, through thoughts, feeling, our relationships, our lives… what happens when we observe without judgement but just observe, there is huge insight that comes from that. Only once this can be achieved, are we able to purposefully start to change and create our lives.
Understanding who we are and what we are truly about and expressing this in form of creativity as well as in communication and relationships with others. Authenticity is the heart of this method [DharmaKaya Yoga]. In the book Magnificently Real, (written by Cheryl Duncan) ‘she encourages people to develop the courage to be completely authentic in not only their decisions and what they do with their lives, but more importantly, in the way they communicate with others. This leads to creative, authentic and liberating expression.’
Based on the Buddhist principle of Karma and Emptiness. We are ultimately responsible for our own lives. What happens and how we choose to respond or react to – and in – all situations. It’s about taking ourselves out the blaming mindset which is about being powerless and rather empowering ourselves. But then, paradoxically, also understanding the paradox that we are not fully in control there is an element of surrender involved too. We are playing between these two ideas of ‘responsibility’ and ‘surrender’.
- Paradoxes / yin and yang
There is nothing in this world that is inherently good or completely bad – in everyone, there is a little good in every bad and a little bad in every good. Starting to see the wold as a complex fabric of light and dark – we are not just one thing at one time. It’s about starting to see the world in its many wonderful and colorful contradictions, and that starts with ourselves. Accepting that we can be many things at the same time.
- Belief in self
There is no guru involved when empowering ourselves and understanding each and every one of us has equal power to access the divine and have a personal relationship with God, consciousness, divinity. Understanding it is a very individual path – the path to empowerment. Realizing that while others can certainly inspire and motivate us along the path, no one else can or possesses the option to do it for us.

“If you knew your potential to feel good, you would ask no one to be different so that you can feel good. You would free yourself of all of that cumbersome impossibility of needing to control the world, or control your mate, or control your child. You are the only one who creates your reality. For no one else can think for you, no one else can do it. It is only you, every bit of it you.”
